The United States Marine Corps stand on Wake Island during World War II is the subject of this Marine Corps produced placard showing a machine gun crew fighting Japanese landing force troops, some of whom are entangled in barbed wire. A big gun in the background fires almost point blank into the enemy. The artwork is by Albin Denning (it’s a stylized signature so somewhat difficult to read). Measures 15-3/4 by9-inches. In good condition.
