  • A soldier’s mother looks out from the poster and asks viewers to not travel without good reason so her son might have transportation home from camp or war. The bottom line of the World War II poster adds this message—“DON’T TRAVEL—unless your trip helps win the war.” Published in 1944 by the “U.S. Office of Defence Transportation” and printed by the Government Printing Office. Measures 20 by 27-inches. Near good condition with trace of clear mounting tape near three corners, predominately in the border and not the image. One small tear in the fourth corner, slightly extending into green background.
